New design uploaded

Hi VM crew....sorry but i liked the old view better...this one seems to have too many empty gaps and the pages dont look right...! you have to scroll down to read everything....i bought shoutbox messaging and as before you could see it now you cant.. and unless people scroll down they arnt going to see it...i also had some games this morning and couldnt access my tactics properly to make subs..and having the bolder outer edge makes things stand out more...it was better when it was more compact and everything was on view without any scrolling. sorry as i know you all work hard to keep VM what it is.. Please let us know what pages you feel don't "look right".

The reason I ask is that some pages are rendered in a weird way in the browser Internet Explorer 7.

The shoutbox issue you mention has already been resolved. The same goes for the tactics page.

Regarding the scrolling, all pages should look like the used to. So, please let me know what pages are annoying, and we'll fix it for you asap

is it possible to tone down the white to a grey?
pretty hard on the eyes at night.

hi. I can not see much on my page. fx. I am only able to do limited navigation as many of my previous options are not available.
I am in need of changing my tactics, but can not navigate to the site..

Hi, are you using Internet Explorer 6?

Try hitting Ctrl + F5... does that help?

Tactics page for 1st 11 is fine, substitutions page is not.

how r u suposed 2 select ur stadiums and to search for players?

That still does not make it possible for me to navigate my page. It may be because of the browser Explorer 6. Would still be nice to be able to check the status even when I am at work..

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate changes and are generally happy with V Man and I like the constant strive to improve the site..You are doing a good job..

i really like the white at the sides, it makes this game seem more proffesional and the top banner is now looking gd.
also i'm glad u have pointed out all the updating of the sites appearance is complete and now the in-game features will be worked on as this will now mean v-man will not only look nice but also be one of the best manager games around :-)

I'm pretty sure the reason is your very old browser. I'll see what I can do to support it.

The problem is that, the more time we spend on optimizing for old browsers (IE6 for example), the more time is lost of development of the game.

Less than 2% of our users use Internet Explorer 6 btw.

i find it difficult to navigate through my different options i.e my club, trade, office etc the other headings are overlapping them which stops me from choosing which sub heading i want i.e my league , training , tactics etc. please could you fix this as there was nothing wrong with the site to begin with.

good news but it dos tak me a cupll of weeks to get used to it.

Too much white for me too...

All the recent upgrades have been great except for this one...
Anyway, it seems some other people like it, but I thought I would have my say!

love the new design. the white and the lighter top bar go together well. it looks great! what would be good is if the player pictures were of their whole body and if on the match simulation, you could do it as if it were real so like if you made a bit like the old fifa or pes graphics. i know that its a lot to ask for but it is just a suggestion to help improve this game. thanks.

I must preferred having the bold edge on the left and right. It made things stand out more and the new design looks empty at the sides, especially on the club and profile pages. It also means that the club banners and player banners are now not long enough for the page. Do you think there is any chance you could chance it back, or at least expand the sizes of the objects on the page and/or move them outwards. Either that, or do you think you could allow an option in settings where you could decide on having a bold outer edge or a white one based on personal preference, seeing as there seems to be strong opinions for both designs.

Also, the forum heading such as 'International > News > New design uploaded > Reply' looks too close to the top headings. I think it used to be centralised between the headings and the message box, could this be changed as well, it just doesn't look right at the moment.

I havent got nothing its just the same

to much white makes it hard to forcus on the middle of the screen when reading foroums and is sore on my eyes after a while. their should be an opion to change the side back to the way it was.

btw the recent updates have been great keep up the good work

My brothers and I decided we wanted to have a private tounament, just the 5 of us. However, we had to use Microsoft Excel. I thought for a moment that V Man should have a private Tour Mode, witha host to determine the entrance fee, tournament type,(elimination or league) and whether a team is accepted or not.

I AGREE

also found that if you want to train or repair your stadium the yes/no option gets hidden behind the advert on the screen and you have to hit the back button and then try again.

i think all the suggestions about improveing the match viewer is bogus
i am willing to bet that most people like me dont watch matches
it would be a better use of time to improve on the player stats & more ways of making$$$ & so on

i watch all my matches (to see what changes i need to make to my team or tactics). also i think that the reason why some people dont watch their teams matches is because of the fact that the match viewer isnt that good. hense i made the suggestion to improve it. it would also encourage more people to join this virtual football managing game.
