Warning regarding player marks update

Some time ago we changed the way players' marks (for example the Talent mark) were updated.

Besides the changed talent mark criteria, the mark update now no longer runs as a part of the season update break.

By moving tasks (such as the player marks update) out of the season update, we can reduce the season update duration - and in the longer term eliminate the need for a break altogether.

While the player mark update runs the player marks are removed from all players, new marks are calculated, and hereafter assigned to the right players. Until now, the temporary removal of player marks has not been visible because the update ran during the season update. But last Sunday when the player update ran after the season break (in the background) the led to some confusion when the marks were temporarily removed.

In the coming weeks we work out a new way of assigning the marks so that they will not "disappear" temporarily. Hereafter, we will (if technically possible) setup the player mark update to run daily instead of weekly.

For now, you must all be aware of the fact that the marks will be removed temporarily while the mark update runs. The player mark update starts at 6pm (around 30 minutes after the site has reopened). The update will take around 30-60 minutes.

We will keep you informed about future improvements on this area.

Happy easter to you all :)

Cheers for that Rasmus, great to see you are moving the game forward and its just a pity this news item wasn't released a week earlier. I say this because I know a player on this game (my son) who released a non talent player (post main update) only to find about an hour later that he was now a talent. He has been told he will not get any proceeds from the auction which, I feel based on the lack of advanced warning of events (which we now have in your news item) is grossly unfair. He takes the game very seriously and is most upset about the loss of credits.

Could you investigate and comment please?

Thanks for those who are making this game one of the best.

Cheers for clearing this up. There were many managers who were very confused about this - so I am glad you have wrote it to clear everything up. smiley

Also, thanks for the development in trying to work on a "daily mark update". That'd be really awesome if it was implemented. smiley

Few, luckly my son came off the PC last week after the update, he was a bit up set not getting a "T" player and was about to fire him. When he went back on about 8 pm he found he had two "T" players and not just the one he was expecting.

5 required to be considered. When calculating the train average, the last 20 training passes are used.
