New top bar just around the corner!
Have you had a great vacation? You bet we have been busy here at the office!
As you are probably aware, we have spent a great deal of time optimizing Virtual Manager's layout, navigation and usability. Virtual Manager is complex game, and therefore it is absolutely crucial, that we make it is as easy and fun to use as possible.
Among other things, we have improved the navigation by moving menu elements to the left hand side, and generally made the layout lighter and more pleasant to use and look at.
The only thing that have not yet been modernized is the green top bar. It still looks as clumsy as it did one year ago.
This will change now! The next version of Virtual Manager, which are to be released during next week, will bring a new and improved top bar. Check out this preview.
As you can see it is much simpler. It takes up less of the screen, so there is more room for actual content. The big red number (at the upper right) indicates that the user has 4 notifications. The football with the text "04:23" tells, that the club are to play a match in 4 minutes 23 seconds. The Account button (furthest to the right) opens a dropdown box with all the things you use rarely, such as Shop and Control panel.
Unread letters and new bids have been merged into the notification system. Everytime anyone writes you or bids on your players, you'll get a notification about it.
In the old notification system (that is, the current one) all notifications will be marked read, as soon as you read one of them. That is because they are all displayed on the same page.
On advantage with the new system is, that you can read one notification at a time. For instance, if you have 3 unread notifications and click the red notification button, you'll see only the first of the 3 unread notifications. This means, you can react on this notification and return to the other notifications when it suits you. They'll still be marked as unread (until you read them). We hope to release the new version during Monday night.
Oh, by the way... we're also working on another little thing, which I think you'll like. It is far from done, so for now I'll just show show you this image; more info will come later :-) (^ This will NOT be included in next week's release!)

I cant believe that Rasmus has posted news about development and all people will do is find something to pick holes in.
any date when this be relased
You 'draft' players in American Football. Surely 'sign' or 'create' would be a better description?
Next you'll be wanting to call it 'soccer'
the joke on me stop make site look pretty startpulling finger out stop spending pennys start spending the pounds tight git
question : its there any way to have an auto substitution when the players get a red card??
Its not poor graphics and layout which reduce the quality of the game. I'd say they were one of the highlights.
And not that it will make a spot of difference to your seemingly disorientated agenda (it looks as though this isn't the only recent design update), but I'd suggest looking at the match engine - which is dire at the best of times - and sorting these forums out. They've become quite frankly unusable for anyone who doesn't have the mental age of an infant, filled with VM addicts chatting what can only be described as "turd".
The decision to move the 'number of online managers' function is also questionable. Its an interesting feature which quite simply does not need to be made less accessible. If I didn't know better, I'd suggest this is just an attempt to hide the fact that the number of managers online at any one time has fallen drastically over the past 6 months.
But I don't know better. So congratulations on the good work.

We seem to get less and less for our money now in vman, if you want more people to buy vm premium the idea is to add features to the game not take them away and expect players to renew
Keep up the good work!!
Liked the look of the screen shot but when I read further in detail I didn't like the idea would encourage that any further changes is thought through first and not rushed through. Although would like to say I am not always right and sometimes its a welcome change.
