Perinthos

Escanaba appointed player/manager

The board have announced that they have reluctantly accepted the resignation of the manager of Perinthos FC, Harry Madcap. Following the highest league finish to date, the board approved an upgrade to the stadium which increased the capacity by 3,600 to 16,400 seats overall. Unfortunately the increase in capacity was not matched by any increase in attendance. The board decided on drastic action and sanctioned the sale of the entire first eleven. Mr Madcap felt unable to support this course of action and tendered his resignation. The board have agreed to accept his resignation and wish to express their sincere gratitude for all the work Mr Madcap has put in at Perinthos FC. The board also wishes to place on record their grateful thanks to all the departing players. They leave Perinthos on a high and will be remembered as the first great Perinthos team.

The board feel that the moment is right for the club to end its policy of buying proven quality and to start investing in younger players with potential. The investment in younger players on the pitch will be matched by an investment off the pitch in improved training facilities.

Danas Escanaba has been appointed as player/manager until the end of the season. We would encourage all fans to give Danas their full support during this period of rebuilding.
