Tactics editor doodles

We're still working on the new match simulator (watch a preview on Youtube if you haven't already). We still have a ton to do, so we don't dare setting a release date yet. However, things are progressing nice and slowly.

In [a previous blog post]((/blog/509), we told about why we're making a new match simulator. One of the reasons is it enables us to also make a new improved tactics editor.

The tactics editor in particular has gotten a lot of attention the last couple of weeks. Needless to say, there are practically thousands of tiny design decisions that have to be made when designing a system like this. We do everything we can to give attention to each little detail. It's not a super fast process, but its worthwhile.

During the design and brainstorm process, I draw a lot. Here, you can see a little sample of some of the doodles I've produced while working on the tactics editor:

As there are still many unanswered questions, I won't be going through the features of the new tactics editor in this blog post.

Hopefully, we're closer at having a complete design next week, so that we can tell you more about it.
