Follow up on yesterday's server trouble

Yesterday, I reported about some server issues around 5pm. The issue was resolved around 6pm.

Unfortunately, a new and unrelated error occurred around 11pm. This error caused bid pages, match viewer and shortlist to be unavailable. It was fixed around 6:20am this morning.

Under normal circumstances, we'd be able to fix such errors a lot faster. However, because our hosting center's SSL connection is not functioning properly at the moment, we cannot access our server directly. Therefore, we had to rely on our "server guy" to be at a certain physical address in order to fix the problems.

Considering how often these types of "server hiccups" happen, we've been rather unlucky they happened at a time where the SSL connection was defective.

I guess Murphy was right :-)
