New guy running the show

Hey folks,

As you probably know Rasmus left us last week, which leaves me in charge of the day-to-day running of Playonic.

I have been with Playonic for over 6 years now, so I'm not exactly "the new guy", but I do have quite a few new responsibilities now. Fortunately, "The Other Rasmus", aka. Bangs United is still around to help me out.

Obviously, my primary task right now, is to make sure we get the new match simulator ready. It has been a long time in the making, and we've had several major code rewrites so far, just to get the technical foundations in place. Thankfully, we're now done with all the rewrites and we can focus on implementing the player AI, balancing their abilities on the pitch according to their stats, and polishing the animations and their timing.

Once we're satisfied with the match simulator, the next job is make sure it runs efficiently enough that it can stand up to the massive number of matches we play every week in Virtual Manager.

So we've got some exciting weeks ahead, and we'll make sure to write updates so that you can follow our progress.
