How will the new scout reports look?

After a short summer break the dev department is now back.

Today I want to tell you a bit more about the plans for the upcoming new scout reports.

As you have seen in the past, you choose whether you want your scout to focus on potential or abilities.

The idea is that you should be able to use him to find both young, aspiring talents to develop and to find a good, solid player for a spot on your starting line-up.

When the scout is sent out, he'll find some of the best players that fit the criteria you have selected: position, age, rating, price, country and focus.

What does "price" mean?

"Price" is either the current auction price, transfer listing price, minimum price or value - depending on what is most relevant at the time you perform the search.

Assessment and recommendation

For each of the players your scout finds, he'll make an assessment and a recommendation.

In the assessment, he will look at the interaction between the player's age, abilities, potential and price.

For instance, he will not recommend that you buy a very old player with poor abilities, even if he has high potential - simply because the player will be too close to retirement For his potential to be relevant. If this player is very cheap to buy, though, he might still be recommended as a good buy.

For younger players, the scout will put less emphasis on abilities if the player has a high potential, and therefore will be able to improve rapidly. Of course, this depends on the focus you have selected.
