Bedford Wanderers

Adrian Mikoz Suspension

Bedford Wanderers' 2-1 victory over relegation threatened Appit was overshadowed by an horrific challenge by central defender Adrian Mikoz. Things had started well for The Wanderers with goals from Ericson and Edgar in the 20th and 31st minutes respectively.

A goal, however, from Jang Amemiya in the 55th minute put Appit back in with a shout. There had been suspicions of offside and a number of Wanderers players argued with the officials, most notably Mikoz, but regardless the goal was given.

Mikoz's frustration at the goal manifested itself in the form of a nasty challenge on Amemiya in the 64th minute and he was sent for an early bath. His manager, Gideon Spratt, risked a fine by the FA for accusing the officials of leading a campaign against his side.
