Bedford Wanderers Are Division 6 Champions

Written 18 June 2017, 15:53

Two consecutive promotions for Bedford Wanderers and two consecutive undefeated seasons. All eyes will be on The Wanderers as they enter the English Division 5 to see whether they can continue their terrific form.

Spratt's team didn't drop a single point all season, scoring 122 goals thanks to the performances of Hayden Ericson and Justin Edgar, scoring 35 and 29 goals respectively. Oswald Koch proved to be the signing of the season, putting the club back over 2,000,000 C but repaying the club with 17 goals in only 7 games.

The high point of the campaign was the club's 3-0 victory over second placed VCD Athletic, securing the top spot. While the lowest point came in the 3-1 victory over BRISTOL ROVERS FC in which central defender Adrian Mikoz suffered the embarrassment of scoring an own goal.

Wanderers board member and club favourite Searle Packwood told our publication: "The aim for next season is purely to consolidate our position in Division 5, once we have achieved this we can focus on achieving promotion."
