In order to boost the defence, the club decided to bring in a new and experienced goalkeeper. Alonso Diego is perfect for the club, arriving from Enfield Rovers FC for 65,000 C. The Mexican has fitted well into the squad and has enjoyed his time with the other players. He offers competition for Bese Ilyes as well as our youth goalkeeper, Merchwyn Gurney, who recently joined the first team from the youth system. We hope now with 2 experienced goalkeepers to learn from, Gurney will be able to develop personally, which has already been evident on the training ground.
