Celtic revamp team

Written 19 April 2018, 16:50

After a foul past few seasons with a small and struggling team, Celtic have bought a total of 11 new players to provide competition for next seasons promotion challenge. Although this season, has already ruled us out of the title race, we will see exactly what this team are capable of between now and the remainder of the season.

In the line of attack, Franck Teza (FL) has rejoined us on a free transfer for a third spell, after being left without a club. Franck has been an excellent and ambitious player and we welcome him back for the long term. Tanner Rainbolt (FC) has joined us for a bargain of just 3000 C and David Mulrooney (FR) was bought for 6500 C. Each player joins Durante Cope in what looks like an exciting strike force.

In the midfield, we have recruited Ottaviano Curschellas (MD) on a free transfer, as well as Shabhar Filipowski (ML), Lucino Vivaldi (MO) and IIia Tkachuk (MO) for 1000 credits each.

In defence, the club have really upgraded, welcoming Avraham Woolf (DC) for 13,000 C, Taneli Vilkunal (DR) for 8500 C and Rostislav Liadov (DL) for 11,000 C. The new defenders provide a large amount of experience to the squad and could prove to be fantastic at this level of football.

The club have also decided to purchase a new goalkeeper for the team, making the decision to sigh Adomas Stankeviciene for just 10,000 C. Adomas will take the position of first team goalkeeper, which will mean much less game time for vice captain Bese Ilyes. However, at the age of 35, Bese has agreed that this is the best decision for the club, refusing to leave and has agreed to stay for the remainder of his career.

Welcome to the club!
