After an extremely disappointing end to the season, Stalybridge are determined to turn things things around. With one game left and with promotion in their hands, Celtic lost to next seasons promotion rivals WEST HAM YONG 1-0. The result proved fatal and allowed FC Skytten to take second place. Celtic have now finished 3rd place in the league for the 3rd season in a row. After the game, manager Joshua Thorp shared his thoughts.

'It's a harsh result to be honest, its been an excellent season but we still didn't do enough. I'm devastated of course, devastated but proud, the players put their all into the campaign and that is all that can be asked.'

Celtic now face another tough challenge in division 6, with promotion still their primary objective. However, it will be another challenging campaign for the Celts, with experienced and big-budgeted Svendborg entering the division, as well as most of last seasons challengers still present.

'We wont give up, this squad have something about them. Last season we played a lot of good football and scored many goals, it really was the most exciting season we've had in a long time'. Despite missing out on division 5 football for the 3rd time in a row, Thorp stayed as optimistic as ever. 'It gives us another season to prepare and above all, we still won another trophy for finishing 3rd. It's not the trophy we wanted and its certainly not one we'll celebrate but at the end of the day, it's something else to put in the trophy cabinet'. The fight continues.
