"He's not just any player"
"A nightmare to play against"
"A Living Legend"

Markos Tuegel has retired, aged 35. He scored an impressive 219 career goals and achieved a VM 4 rating. He commented "Nothing will ever completely replace playing the game I love, However, I feel like I'm starting a new adventure and I'm genuinely excited about what lies ahead.
I'm fortunate to have been given many opportunities throughout my career and now I feel it's my time to give back.
I wouldn't have achieved what I have done today without my family. I'm grateful for my parents' sacrifice, which made me realise my dreams,"

Dermot Drummy added "Markos has been an outstanding footballer throughout his career.
Not only that - he has been a brilliant ambassador for his country, raising huge amounts for charity.

Tuegel's favourite moments:
The hat-trick which gave him his 100th career goal,
Lifting the title against Sutton Rhinos after the famous derby win,
THAT winner at Granby Lane against Keighleigh Wanderers,
His 1st NCC goal,
The 1-0 win over MUST FC at Old Trafford,
His 1st FA Cup goal,
His final game for the reds.
