Crawley are going to the 3rd round of the Copa Del Rey after Triamour Corbet scored in the last minute of extra time, causing unbelievable scenes in Barcelona.

The Reds started with a 4-3-3, with Putnam Crouch starting in goal, a flat back 4 of Roque Zubeldia, Gistin Lodge, Antanas Alexinas and Jonny Beaton. The midfield 3 consisted of Girard Cocard, Clemente Samarez and Cridela Mean, with Triamour Corbet and Anchor Pace on the wings and Captain Kaylan Windass playing as the striker.
The first chance of the game came just after the 10 minute mark, with opposition striker Atdhe Kola shooting from just outside the box, but his shot was saved well by Putnam Couch. With just 19 minutes played, Triamour Corbet was brought done near FC vejlbyx’s box by Ervin Peçi. The referee decided to give the opposition’s right back for the day a straight red card, resulting in FC vejlbyx going down to 10 men. The free kick was taken by Corbet, who played the ball to the edge of the area towards Kaylan Windass, who saw Anchor Pace making a run on his right. He played it to Pace and he slotted home, putting Crawley 1-0 up.
However on 37 minutes, the visitors equalised. A simple pass into the box went towards an unmarked Simao Costa Brito, who calmly placed it in, putting the visitors back on level terms.
At the break, it was 1-1, with the game being quite an even game. The second half began with Crawley on the front foot. They went 2-1 up when left-winger Triamour Corbet made a surging run, pulling the ball back towards the edge of the box for midfielder Cridela Mean to crash home, sending the fans behind the goal into absolute limbs. But the lead lasted just 11 minutes. With 66 minutes on the clock, a quick free kick move resulted in the equaliser. The free kick was played to Oran ó Callanan, who passed to Atdhe Kola who finished from 10 yards out. Fans were angry as there were hints of offside, as Crawley tried playing an offside trap, which ultimately failed. After that there weren’t many other big chances, with the end of normal time finishing at 2-2.
Extra Time began and the opposition began to really turn the gears up. Simao Costa Brito, who scored the first for vejlbyx, shot from an extremely acute angle, forcing the save from Putnam Couch. Just before the end of the first half of extra time, Crawley had a throw in, pushing lots of player forward, but unfortunately Zubeldia misplaced the throw, giving it straight the the opposition. In order to stop a counter attack, Frenchman Girard Cocard fouled Jorge Bustamante with the studs up, resulting in a red card. Half time of extra time, and both sides were down to 10 men.
Into the second half of extra time, and Putnam Couch performed some unbelievable saves to keep the Reds at 2-2. First came a point blank range save from 5 yards out, which he parried towards Oran ó Callanan. His shot was blocked well by defender Gistin Lodge, who cleared it towards Reds’ midfielder Samarez. However his, clearance went straight to Fabian Jeremies, but Samarez blocked this shot, making up for the poor clearance. Oliver Ratten then picked up the ball and played it to Bustamante who was in the box for vejlbyx and his shot was heading for the bottom left corner, if not for a brilliant save by Couch. However, after play had calmed down, he played it short to Antanas Alexinas, who was off guard, giving the ball to Kola, but he couldn’t get his second of the day, as Couch was called into action once more and made a good save diving down to his left.
With 1 minute left, Crawley surged forwards in search of their last chance and a winning goal. With not many defenders back, Anchor Pace played a brilliant through ball for Kaylan Windass to run onto. Windass shot from about 12 yards out and hit the post, but Triamour Corbet picked up the rebound thundered it in, putting Crawley into the third round of the cup.
After the game, manager Joseph Sharp said “It wasn’t the best performance from us, but we dig deep and got the result. I’m really happy with the way they all played, we attacked really well and defended well too.
