Final Whistle

Stadium expansion

Written 23 February 2020, 21:25

Our club managed a surprisingly high season finish, being on 2nd place with just 3 matches to go, and the board was forced to take a decision to field youths and the second team in an attempt to not promote to 2nd division and get butchered. Luckily we managed to draw one game out of the last 3 games, loosing 2-3(H) and 3-1(A) which was enough to secure the 3rd place.
Due to our high ranking and the results that were above all expectations, since the goal was to avoid relegation, the fans got behind the team in an ever increasing number, reaching 2880 supporters for our very small but ambitious club. This situation highlighted the serious lack of capacity of our stadium and showed us it is the time for an upgrade.
So we're here to announce that it is the long overdue moment for our stadium expansion. Previous capacity was running at 100% with price of 7C and it is now believed that it is a good opportunity to upgrade by an additional 6300, for a total of 16300 places.
With full stadium at 5C we're expecting an 11% increase in gate receipts while max expected profitability would be at +63% if we sell out at 7C, up to 1.7M a season...
This wouldn't need any improvement until we can get a team capable of resisting in 2nd division, which at the moment seems a few months away.
In the meantime our club is preparing an investment on upgrading the Physio Department to Specialist on the shorter term.
But before that we need to cover our central defender spot which is vacant since our sell earlier this season of the Talented DC Ove Rovening, brought in for 415,001 C on 10 January for a profit just shy of 2,4M, as he was sold at the incredible amount of 2,799,990 C.
We are proud of the tradition of discovering high potential youth which are ready for the next step in their career and providing them with the best trainers and second best Training Facilities, in only 10 months since the establishment of our club.
