Lokomotive Bryggen

2019-30: Porn in the USA

The 2019-30 season proved to be another succes for Lokomotive Bryggen, at least on the pitch. For the 6th time in seven seasons they brought home a trophy, this one made of silver. Topscorer was Welshman James Folland who found the net 28 times. We found German Sepp Piontek a satisfied manager: "Aber doch, wir haben only three games lost all season and stayed clear of 3rd place with 12 punkte. Dass ist sehr gut".

The season saw a new addition to the starting 11 for the first time in four seasons: Faroese Pall Arni Ryberg turned 31, and as usual the club tries to find replacements at that age, so a new number 10 was brought in from Frederiksberg IF: 26 year old Norwegian Mads Teigen set the club back 3.5M. "Mads is a young and very interesting player. At the moment he's only got a 59 rating, but he will quickly get better. Ich habe very high hopes for him", Piontek says. Ryberg scored 25 goals in his 169 games for Bryggen, and was sold for 1.7M to a club in Turkey - a country he fell in love with when Bryggens world tour went there a couple of seasons ago.

Head Treasurer Mrs Enid Ford A'Kash had another tough season: "We are still a bit down on sponsor and gate money because of the season in Division 4. We did a little bit better in the market, but had to spend half a million on repairing Bryggen Arena. In total we came out with a plus of 4.9M, which we are not happy about"

Club owner Ai-Pwn Yu, a billionaire from Hong Kong, suddenly decided to prolong the world tour: "When we visited Danmark and France earlier on the tour, we didn't get to play 3rd division. We want that now. So we will take some extra seasons out of the calender to revisit those two countries before returning to Germany".

The Danish federation DBU isn't known for its wisdom, so they have placed Bryggen in Division 4 once again. Another boring season with a dead certain 1st place is to be expected. As a matter of fact, we are so certain of Bryggen bringing home the gold trophy, that we aren't going to wish them luck as we usually do. They will not need it at all!
