2020-02: Bryggen announces World Tour!

Written 13 January 2020, 10:04

Season 2020-02 proved that Lokomotive Bryggen still is not up to old strength and another relegation was unavoidable. Bryggen finished in 15th place, the club’s worst result in 18 seasons.

Midway through the season, Faeroes goalkepper Reistrup was replaced with Kozma Mikoyan from Russian. Mikoyan set the club back 12.4M, but Reistrup was immediately sold with a profit of 900K.

The financial statement showed a plus of 7.2M.

Hong Kong based club owner and billionaire Ai-Pwn Yu had some breaking news for the press at the end of the season: Lokomotive Bryggen will go on a World Tour effective immediately. “We have played in Germany for the last 21 seasons with some success. We have a 3rd place trophy from the Bundesliga and a 2nd place trophy from the DFB-Pokal to show for. Now we want to try something new. We will attempt to get to play in the best league in all other 13 countries, which we expect will take around 30-35 seasons to accomplish. Our tour will start by going north of the border to Denmark and then continue to Sweden, Scotland, England, The Netherlands, France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece and Turkey before we end the tour in the Americas with a visit to Brazil and USA. We hope that the local fans will appreciate the opportunity to watch Bryggen play against their favorite team.”

In Denmark, Bryggen have been placed in the 3rd Division so we expect a season without many – if any – defeats and a promotion without breaking sweat
