Lokomotive Bryggen

2020-35: One step down on the podium

Written 31 August 2020, 10:23

As feared, Atlanta Hawks proved to be too strong a team for Lokomotive Bryggen and the rest of Die Bundesliga. Bryggen did manage to bring home its second set of silver medals though, three points clear of Aiki FC, so season 2020-35 can only be regarded as a success. Atlanta Hawks beat Bryggen three times, as they were also the team that forced Bryggen to leave the Super Cup in the quaterfinals. In the DFB-Pokal, Bryggen had an early exit to the hands of Slangeby BK.

After a few games, Norwegian left defender Ivan Vetvik (238 appearences for Bryggen) was replaced with Gavrel Narozhylenko from Russia. Gavrel set the club back 20.5M when he was bought four seasons ago. He had already played 49 matches for Bryggen, and he was certainly ready to take over.

From the coming season, 28 year old Brazilian Daniel Regatieri is Bryggen's new goalkeeper. He was found in Aroma AC for 15.5M. He replaces Welshman Amren Geonor (189 games), who was shipped off to FC Viborg Starz for a small loss.

The sale of Vetvik caused a big loss, but some good trading during the season by Chief Dealer Lick Neeson meant that Head Treasurer Enid Ford A'Kash could present a profit of 4.3M.

We fully expect Lokomotive Bryggen to be a part of the race for the secondary medals again next season.
