Lokomotive Bryggen

2020-39: Two twos

Written 28 September 2020, 11:22

Lokomotive Bryggen had a good first season in La Primera, bringing home two silver medals. As expected, Ulm Warhawks was too strong an opponent for Bryggen, so the club should be satisfied with a league silver medal as well as another lost cup final.

Towards the end of the season, 29 year old Cuban, Francisco Pablo Armada was bought for 16M to replace Ferdinand Schindler at right wing. Schindler has scored 240 goals in 635 matches for Lokomotive Bryggen. A true legend! Armada found the net seven times in his first eight matches, so he certainly came out with a good start

In the beginning of the season, club owner Ai-Pwn Yu announced that an expansion of Bryggen Arena would take place. Yu paid an amount of 28M for an additional 6,400 seats, so that 70,400 fans now can watch Bryggen's home games. Yu estimates that the investment will have paid it self back in about 35-40 seasons.

The expansion of Bryggen Arena obviously affected the financial result, which came out at -16.9M

Congratulation with an impressive season at Bryggen.

We had an incredibel season with three gold and one silver. No shame to end behind Ulm Warhawks last season - many did.

Good luck with the new season.

Good luck to you too (allthough you probably won't need it). I'm off to a rough start...

Too bad with the missed quadruple - that was so close!
