FC Crystal Palace

A new era

Written 24 September 2023, 13:20

Having stormed to the title in the previous season with 30 wins out of the possible 30 Crystal Palace were expecting big things in the new division 5 league.

Things didn't start out well, being knocked out of 2 cups in the first round.

Deciding to aim for league victories for the points was all we had left.

Looking at the league we were ranked 15th in the vifa rank for that division.

We battled hard against some top teams and did get a few wins against the top teams but it wasn't enough.

Managing 22 wins 2 draws and 6 losses out of the 30 league games left us in 5th place for our first season back in a competitive league.

We invested heavily in players rated around 45-55 and built a youth team averaging 20-25 that took promotion on the final day.

We decided to take the team to Italy for the coming season due to wanting to try something different.

We will aim to save 1 million credits this season in the aim of reinvestment of the structure of the club and hope to find a few suitable trainers and a training facility upgrade.

20 matches played, 46 goals 14 assists and 11 man of the matches in his first full youth league season made him the leagues top scorer by a fair mile.

We decided to add him to the transfer list for £50,000 and he sold so quickly. We wish him well and will use the funds to go towards expanding the stadium.

The manager of The Dream in the Spanish 3rd division offered the sum and we accepted as it was a fair offer. We hope he continues his bright future at a club in a good financial place that can give him the training facilities he requires.

Congrats to Adeboro for taking home player of the season and gaining that important transfer to division 3 in Spain.
