Having suffered a positively mediocre day results wise, meaning our newly attained 27th rank is set to plummett, VM have typically signed off on the day with a further 'Route 1' kick to the gonads. Out of the 6 cup ties we have been drawn in this week we have achieved a grand total of 1 home fixture - lost revenue had those other 5 games been home = 2.5m. As I am unlikely to win either cup, and the prize fund for the Danish cup is a packet of peanuts and half a pint of fizzy cola, I might as well have set my boys running on a fully enclosed treadmill with no access to the stop button. The effects would probably have been the same - knacked out players and nothing to show for their efforts.
Training has been disappointing for the third or fourth day on the bounce and our new sprinkler system has sprung a leak.
Manager Neil literally imploded today (made a right mess of his computer screen I can tell ya) and has demanded better from VM tomorrow! The team are playing OK although we are still unable to win all games in a day which is required if The Bow are to break into the top 25.
Manager Neil has been very busy on the 'Free Transfer' market thanks to all those poor souls who have no clue how to play the game and gainfully let their precious youth waltz out the door on a Bosman - unfortunately though none of this sneaky behaviour has borne any fruit yet - patience my man patience.
