Moody Bow

Against the odds....

Written 12 June 2011, 10:46

What a topsy-turvy week. The Bow started out as expected - struggling but putting a few points on the board and keeping tabs on the other 6 or so bottom clubs. The middle of the week the entire team went AWOL - especially those responsbile for knocking the all-important goals in. The management were not happy! Harsh words were said over several days - the phrases 'over-paid pretty boys' and 'you useless shower of f****ing s**te' did surface in a heated Moody Bow training camp.
Towards the end of the campaign results started to pick up and indeed Gabriel Quiterio decided it might be a fun time to chip in with his first league goal of the week midway through Saturday …. Grrrrrrr!
This seemed to be the encouragement the rest of the The Bow needed to kick-start their week again and start performing. Our last 8 games of the season were straight out of the Barnet FC book of escapism. The Mighty Bow clocked up 1 defeat, 2 draws and a magnificent 5 wins in their last 8 games - culminating in a must win match against fellow strugglers FC Odense Tigers where, despite being short on shots, managed to claim a vital 3 points with a decisive finish from Moody’s home-grown midfield dynamo Benjamin Moody ……. Moody Moody!

Well done mate I have had a similar week oddly enough but managed to scrape the points together despite misreading the date my player came back from injury!

Benjamin should be getting his silver star in next month or so as well all being well........
