Mid Season Review

The Phoenixes currently sit in 1st place after 16 games this season with an impressive 46 points from a possible 48.

Home Record:
P: 8, W: 8, D; 0, L: 0, GF: 38, GA: 0

Away Record:
P: 8, W: 7, D; 1, L: 0, GF: 27, GA: 2

Individually there have been a number of standout moments. Nevin Heyder has already racked up 19 goals and currently sits 9th on the all time top scorers list whilst Andrew Williamson has broken into 3rd place on the list with an impressive 13 goals. He also holds the most assists this season at 10 and has a 10.0 average from 6 games with 5 man of the match performances.

The club has also invested into new talent going forward as Lars Diebus departed early in the season, providing the Phoenixes with a bit of transfer funding as they strengthened at right back and in midfield too.

The club's 1 draw came to the now struggling Dittes Drenge who recently lost a few players to contract expiry. The draw came after a second round exit in the Newcomers Challenge (a cup they would be hoping to compete for in the coming seasons one would imagine) so the 2 results certainly put a damper on what has been a fine season so far as they may even target a new highest points with 83 being their highest to date. The club picked up ~70 points in each of the last 3 seasons and are on course to beat that at the very least.

Lastly in youth news, Phillip Phoenix seems to be the only new acquisition from the youth academy as the other 4 failed to impress in trials and were let go.
