In a surprising move, the Diamonds' board of directors have moved away from the long-running policy of only playing Georgian nationals in the first team. We spoke to Lord Radz to get his take.

"Yes, it's true we will now have a greater diversity of players in the team. I think this change of direction has been a long time coming, and allows us to more easily compete for the highest honours. We will, of course, still likely have some Georgians in the team, and certainly the fact that Nika Zviadauri and Tornike Vachnadze are in the line-up is testament to that fact. It's possible we may return to a one nation format in the future"

The Diamonds have now joined the Dutch league in their quest for silverware.
