The prolific club legend Yao Gong has confirmed his cult status and joined Besarion Chokheli in the goalscoring hall of fame by netting his 1000th goal for Diament Garwolin!

The 32 year old Chinese left forward shows no signs of slowing down and fittingly capped his 1000 goal tally by completing a hat-trick in a 7-0 thrashing of VV Westdorpe in the league.
Gong's first goal of the game came after he converted Trandafir's excellent through ball early on, and he added a second by playing a one-two with Filipek Poleska which allowed him to go one-on-one with the keeper, slotting calmly into the net. The Diamonds' fans knew they could be witnessing history, and eagerly awaited another goal. This came in the 75th minute as Gong dispossessed a defender in the box and fired a rocket into the top corner! There were tears on the face of Lord Radz, who has seen the player grow and develop from an unassuming academy prospect into the second most prolific player in the club's history. The local boy has become a true hero!
