Silva Back!

AFC Up The Hill have re-signed former fans favourite Silvano Canellas for a fee in the region of 1.5m C.
"Silva" played 150 games for the club scoring 57 goals but left to join SM Club after the signing of Henrick Rohland. But with Rohland's departure from Bardon Park earlier this week, manager Tony Aster moved quickly to re-sign the 26 year old forward.

Fans spokesperson Tim O'Tae said "We are obviously delighted with Silva back at the club but do wonder why he was sold in the first place. The manager is having a shocking season and some of his decisions have been strange. It would be interesting to see if he admits he made a mistake?"

Aster said "It is sad that we are all pointing fingers at each other at a time when we should be pulling together. Silva left originally on good terms, he came to me and asked if he would be sure of a first team place and when I explained that Henrick would be starting in that position, he asked for a move. But now, with Henrick leaving the club, I needed to fill that position. There are only so many players in our budget and when I heard Canellas was available, I went for him straight away. I know he will do a good job for the club"

With Jozo Kroner still injured, both fans and management will hope Canellas has not lost his goalscoring touch.

Nice piece Tony. I hope Silva brings a cheer back onto the terraces next season. Good luck!
