AFC Up The Hill were forced into playing down social media speculation regarding a new youth team signing and manager Tony Aster's reaction to press questions about him.

Aster was asked at his daily media briefing about the buzz on Twitter regarding the youth who we believe to be 15 year midfielder Roger Gettelfinger.

A clearly angry Aster said “I find the speculation incredible to be honest. Yes, we have signed a lad who has potential, he is good on both feet and has skills of a lad with a couple of seasons older than him under his belt but he has never trained and if he can’t sort that out part of his game out then all this fuss will count for nothing”

Aster was pressed by the media about plans regarding his training and if the clubs training facilities are able to get the best out of young talent.

“Of course I want to improve our facilities but we have what we have and we have to work within our budget. My focus has to be on the league and this speculation doesn’t help anyone. This time last season you were all calling for my head and now it’s about a lad who may never make it to the first team!”

Aster then stormed out of the briefing leading to more speculation that the pressure of this seasons promotion campaign is taking it’s toll.
