The Road Ahead

My team has surely peaked, having won five major trophies in the last three seasons, including the prestigous Virtual Manager World Cup. Whilst I'm not done with this team just yet, I feel its sensible to start planning the next move for this club and set in motion the blueprint for the next few months. I'd much rather have a team that can consitently challenge for major trophies season-in-season-out than go youth and stack up money or whatever. That style of play has never appealed to me. So my goal is to have the infrastructure in place for my team to be able to stay at the top in a sustainable manner. I guess sustainable in this context means not runing a budget defecit every season chasing trophies. The best way to do this in my opinion is to have a large enough stadium to maximise the income potential of being a top team on VM. I think the right capacty for a sttadium is 85-90k and anything above that is overkill since theres pretty much no chance youre going to be filling those seat at 7C consistently. I had a 64k stadium but have now spent 50mil on upgrading to a 79k stadium which is good enough for now. A further 50 mil will be needed in future to get the stadium up to the 90k goal.
I dont have too much spare cash left after spending 50mil on stadium upgrades so now I will prioritise saving up money for replacing my players in the coming months as theyre coming to the end of their cycles. To ensure the rebuilding process goes as quickly as possible, the next iteration of this team will have to cost less than my current players and still be good enough to fill the 79k stadium on a regular basis at 6-7C. Thankfully the current market climate plays right into my hands on this one, with many high rated players going for less and less. With a budget of roughly 100mil in a month or two's time I'll be looking to build a team of 29yo's who are mosly 90+ rated. That should ensure a good enough team somewhere within the Vifa top 50. And then once the stadium is roughly 90k capacity the club can slowly stregnthen once more. aiming to maintain a team of 90-97 rated players for the forseeable future, and properly contend for major trophies instead of just fluking them
