Trufflers United have officially been relegated to Division , Group 4..
Watezini's men put in a superbly brave last 2 games, firstly drawing 1-1 at Marzec, which proved to be not enough, as our opponents beat us by 1 point, even after an incredible 0-2 victory at Lewis FC.
This is what former captain Kian Doogan had to say: "It was in many ways, a fantastic start, and end to the season in terms of matches. But we lacked so much quality in-between, and you cannot afford to do this at the level we were paling at".
Watezini had this to say: "The boys have mostly had a good season, obliviously it's bad news about Bligard, Linton and even Urbanec all retiring soon due to personal reasons involved with some of the away fans recently. But a special mention has to go to Vimaro De Mena after a scorching goal of the season against Lewis FC, and player of the year, he thoroughly deserves it. Eugenio Corral new signing, and compatriot, played very well also, a great partnership in the middle of the park. Well done."
The plan
The idea is, a season in Division 4 where whatever it takes to get promoted, we will refresh the team every game with the youngsters such as Santos, Galka, VDB, Hubbard and Fabro will get games. Then, we have time to rebuild for next season, hopefully in Division 3.
