Trufflers United are in the most fit financial state they have been in in years, with reports claiming they have a total spend avaiable of around 19 million credits if they sold their team
United are back in the Newcomers Challenge, of which they have won twice before, and are looking to get their hands on Watezinis favourite trophy.
He had this to say:
"It's amazing to be back finally. We had a solid first round victory. The atmosphere is incredible, I love it. The history we have in the competition with our fans is also incredible, I remember the days where Froila netted that equaliser before Yorath and Ammann completed the job on penalties. Extremely memorable and exciting times - hopefully we can create history again its certainly possible"
The Aqua's are attempting to rebuild a side over the next couple of seasons, but with prices inflated this task may be harder than it seems.
The Trufflers United youth academy that Watezini masterfully built is finally coming to an end. Many players that have been at the club for well over 2 years now are moving on to new challenges, it is believed that Immo Italla, Peter Wolland, Evaristo Medeiros, Tjovern Piersman, Sean Mac Maccarton and Hoshybar Dashteen will all be leaving. While Knud, Mocho, Krasicki, Piniero, Niemach and Wallace will be staying. The youth academy has been a phenomenal success and as well as the inevitable profit it has given the club, it will give these players a great oppurtunity to build careers in the future and like many before them - maybe return to the Aqua's with the buy back clause that is always left with them.
United are lining up several replacements and first team contenders to join an already building squad, however signings are few and far between and hard to come by at the moment in the inflated market, and Watezini says he will attempt to not rush into any deals.
