Administration: the Facts

Written 29 April 2012, 11:58

Sildegapet declared administration at the beginning of last season, so what does this mean for the whites?

In fact very little now. They were unable to pay both wages and transfer debts. This meant that many players did not recieve payment for playing in August during the qualifying rounds of the NCC. Many decided that they would no longer for the whites, and after a series of bids for the Whites squad, many left.

Sildegapet did pay off their debts with the resulting income and then managed to sign many players including the Austrian National Forward Breibert on loan. This almost got Sildegapet into more trouble for breaching the transfer rules after they signed Briebert after the transfer deadline day. However, extensive evidence proves that he had already signed a one month contract emergency deal for the whites and the other deal was only an extension of the deal. They were then all presented with permanent contracts. This meant that the whtes were permitted to continue in the NCC and there were no points deductions in the league. The exodus of Sildegapet players has meant positive as well asnegative things for the Cottagers but this time, they rode thier luck and it played out.

A recent financial report is meant to be published at the end of this season showing record profits for the whites.

Chowdhury hopes that they will avoid any more financial crisises and now start to head to the top.
