Sildegapet came into the match against Warrender Pk Wanderers having only reached the semi finals once before when they were knocked out by Dynamo Groby. However, Mikhail Vorotaev scored a 5th minute goal to send Sildegapet into the final. It was just the first time that Sildegapets opponents had reached the semi final and Sildegapet were always the favorites to progress.

Sildegapet began the match brightly but were undone several times in front of goal until the fifth minute when Vorotaev was found lurking on the edge of the box after a corner had been cleared away and he let fly with the opening goal. After that, Sildegapet were quite content with a single goal and were never harmed in defence. Sildegapet shut the door and, however much urging they received they would have just one more shot on target before the final whistle. A great result for the whites as they try and capture their first ever title.

Sildegapet hero Maccarron told the press yea, its great to be in the final and I hope that we can go all the way. We have an extremely tough opponent but we can win it. We have the quality in defence and at the back. Today, we pushed hard and then really defended hard and it worked. However, against them we will be unable to defend so we have to play more positively.
