FC Blyski Atsiskaitymu put seven past Army

FC Blyski Atsiskaitymu have almost certainly booked their place in the final against Spion Kop FC while Johns Army will have to fight Parkrangers for third place. The game was one sided and the result showed it, a seven goal mauling that is now the biggest win in this Bernese Oberland tournament.

There were few early chances for either side but Atsiskaitymu were dominant in possession and this pressure was telling on the Army defence. It was Zhen-bang Chien who had the first chance of the game but Swiss goalkeeper Dieter Grossen was always equal to his long range volley. And a few seconds later, it was Robin Mccoll who opened the scoring for Atsiskaitymu with a neat side foot shot into the bottom right hand corner. Matyash Khubova had a chance at the end of the half but his shot was also straight into Grossen’s arms. But once again, this opened the way for Neil Gillet who slotted home the second goal. Although Atsiskaitymu had the lead they were also waisting many shots and Wen-mu Chang was the next to miss his shot. Zhen-bang Chien however, scored another goal for Atsiskaitymu with a neat chip over Grossen. Wen-mu Chang was the next to score poking it past Grossen. Neil Gillet scored the fifth goal with a goal that will certainly be listed as a goal of the tournament. Previous goal scorer Chang passed the ball to Gillet from a free kick who swung his foot at the ball and connected extremely well. From well outside the box, his shot smashed into the top right hand corner of the net. Robin Mccoll then missed a far easier chance only to be outdone by Chien who scored his second of the evening. However, Robin Mccoll made up for his mistake by running clear of the defence and scored the seventh of the evening.

The final whistle came with a thumping for Johns Army but it was relief that it was not heavier. But the result means that even if Johns Army win the return leg, they are unlikely to go through. FC Blyski Atsiskaitymu however, showed and warned their next opponents Spion Kop that they are on fine form and will pose a threat to Spion Kop retaining their title.
