Whites pull clear

Sildegapet have created a four point gap between them and the relegation zone after a 6-0 thrashing of relegation rivals Henmas FC at the Cottage.

Sildegapet began edgily but a degree of confidence from FĂ©lix Pinheiro saw the Mexican almost break free on another of his superb solo runs. However, a last ditch tackle saw the ball spill free. Luckily for the whites, the ball broke kindly for Imfeld who proceeded to round the keeper and slot home a vital opener for the whites in the nineteenth minute. Just two minutes later, Lostak should have scored for the whites in similar circumstances but his shot lacked any real power and it was always a comfortable save. However, thirty seconds later, neat work from Sutter, Guttenberger and Lostak saw the Check forward burst into the penalty box and smash home a second for the whites.

By now the nerves were settled and the pressure began to tell on the young and inexperienced opposition, a poor back pass just six minutes later from Thorleif Svevad allowed Imfeld to once again take charge of the situation, this time lobbing the goal keeper. Within 10 minutes of taking the lead, Sildegapet had a commanding lead in a fixture which was already being called a six pointer.

After the third goal, the opposition defence began to take control and they began to pound on the door, but this was always liable to counterattack, as Michael Guttenberger showed. The 20 year old forward sprinted down field off a corner.

More later.
