Sildegapet have stunned critics and supporters alike by reaching the money rounds of the Newcomers Challenge Cup for the first time since we reached the final in 2012. In that year we were unfortunate to end up as runners up after having led 1-0 for a substantial period of time.

We have reached the money rounds on two other occasions, twice being knocked out by Dynamo Groby. Once in the semi finals and the other in round seven. Since our last report we have steadily improved and have had stability in division four, occasionally threatening promotion and often fighting to keep out of the relegation zone.

We hope for success in our round seven fixture but know it will be difficult against superior opposition. We will fight as hard as possible to get to the quarter finals.

Reports also say that Sildegapet have a substantial pot of money to spend and may do so to start to replace today's players with players that are slightly younger.
