Sildegapet FC

Making way for a new squad

Britton has already parted with two players in order to streamline his club so he can work out what he needs when he decides to act. Britton was hoping to keep them for four more seasons, but both Asbjørn Adam Polson and Helaine Mark Cannon wanted to play first team football and refused to sign new contracts with the club. Britton decided to sell them before their contracts ran out at the end of next season. Polson had already been a target for Hedgehogs FC before he joined Sildegapet. He was immediately seized upon but negotiations fell down. After playing with other clubs, Polson was finally sold to Hedgehogs FC when they finally managed to get back to the table for an estimated 15,000 Credits. Cannon was a doubt for Britton who wondered if he would be sold as interest for him was low. Britton rejected the appeal by Cannon to present Cannon with a new deal, as it looked likely that Cannon would never play first team football again. It was some relief therefore when Cannon finally found a club interested in his services. When he left he told SBC that he had enjoyed his time with Sildegapet but not only did he want to play more first team football but also 'Britton had been difficult to get on with'. Britton has denied that there were any problems during Cannon's time in Sildegapet. He was finally sold to Den varme exotic for very little.
