Downwards And Upwards

The Position - Midtable Division 4 Side

The Problem - Stagnated Growth, or at least, that's what I felt was happening. As my Dynamo side, were only a little club, in what seemed to be a slightly too large a pond, I had a feeling of us punching slightly above our weight, which, whilst nice, doesn't promote success in the future. I decided now was the time, to take two steps back, to try and build a platform for three steps forward.

Downwards To Go Upwards - At this point, late in 2011, I decided to raise funds for upgrading the facilities of my club, by selling the first team squad that had consistantly finished as a steady Division Four side, including the jewel in my squad at the time, http://www.virtualmanager.com/retirees/5328423 (He was my replacement for Pucek in the earlier stages, and was later to return to my club for a short second stint.) Having already upgraded to Large Training Ground on my slow plod up the leagues, I raised the funds to jump to Advanced Training Ground, and then shortly after I managed Standard Training Facility too. This, coincided with a drop to Division 5, and eventually 6, but also with the lucky occurance of a good youth player. The input of a good chunk of funds from this stroke of good fortune, allowed me not only to upgrade the training facilities again, and the physio departments too, but also to form a squad to bounce back up with back to back promotions. This massive input of resources, increased the speed of my clubs progress significantly, and heralded the beginning of what so far, is the highest success of my Dynamo Groby team.
