Looking Upwards

After a long hard slog, developing the youngsters so they can be ready for first team action, the second youth from the Dynamo Groby system is nearly ready to take his place int he line up.

Aatto Halvari will take his place at Right Back next week, if all continues to go on schedule.
As regards the Dynamo Groby project, the team is developing nicely, and currently we are finding ourselves bouncing between Division 5 and Division 4. I believe the team is just about good enough to maintain a Division 4 place this season, and for the future, but a string of unfortunate results may also well be enough to relegate us, so it's on fine margins at the moment. Nevertheless, whatever happens, I am sure the club will continue to develop the team in order to compete at higher levels in the future.

Finland

A quick flick through the current Finnish youth national squads shows a downturn in the amount of Dynamo Groby members, however, a closer look shows that to be a slightly distorted view, whilst current members of the international U21 and U17 sides have made progress through the Dynamo Grby ranks, but have moved onto pastures new. We wish them all the best for the future.

BRAZIL vs FINLAND

Update on the friendly internationals, the Brazilian side, Samba Beat have announced they are taking back to the stage, and therefore the two legged international contest can resume. The Finns are leading the contest thus far, but the Samba squad, facilities and resources have been improving in the last few weeks, and therefore they cannot be taken lightly. Dynamo Groby are looking forward to the awaiting challenge of the Samba Beat, and several other sides too.

Sildegapet F.C.

The swiss development of Sildegapet is making progress, and they will soon be looking to resume the rivalry with Dynamo Groby, with both sets of supporters likely to welcome this news. Always fiercely contested, yet friendly encounters, the Dynamo/Sildegapet clashes, promise much for the future.
On another note, aside from VM, we must also welcome Sildegapet F.C. into the PbPD, and congratulate them on the solid progress made through the Challenge Cup competition, bowing out to the Defending Challenge Cup holders in the Quarter Finals, by eight goals to one on aggregate. Their progress out of a potentially tricky group, and past the first knockout round, was notable for a side making it's competitive debut, and we look forward to Sildegapet F.C making a league debut too.
