As the league flings itself towards a tense finale, here is the picture so far...

Pos Team Points GD
1. R. Utd 43 +19
2. D. City 43 +18
3. T. City 42 +18
4. G. Utd 40 +9

8. Athletico 33 +21

Ten Games left to play.

Defending Champions, Athletico, at the mid season point, were 18 points behind the leaders of the division, and down in 11th. Five games later, they have nearly halved that gap down to ten points, and they welcome most of the title challengers to their Kennelside fortress in the run in. With ten games to play, will they have enough to make a challenge at the title, they do have history on their side, they have won the league more often than any other team in the league. The team for them to catch are R.Utd, who lead the way on 43 points, level with D.City who are second only on goal difference, but both sides have tricky away games in the run in, including a trip to Kennelside. T.City are also up there, two points behind the leaders in third, with a nice goal difference too, and potentially a winning mentality having wnt he first available piece of Silverware in the Cup final. Comeback kings G.Utd are also making their move, in terrific form the side from Muxloe Bridge, closing the gap down and doing what they always do, which is to get themselves into position for a title challenge with a couple of games left to go. There are other sides too, between Athletico and the top, who will all want in on a potential charge at the title. Who will win?~

Athletico have cut the gap to the leaders down to nine points now, T.City new leaders with nine left to play.

With a week to go, and seven games left, Athletico are just six points behind the leaders now. But it's tight at the top, leaders still T.City despite a 3-1 defeat to Athletico last time out, but they are only a point clear of three teams who are placed second, third and fourth, those three split only by goal difference.
