Dynamo Fourteen

Written 5 January 2014, 13:20

Belated wishes of Happy New Year from all involved at Vale Park. Following the festive season, and the beginning of a new year, all around are assessing what they want to achieve, what they expect to achieve and how far they've come so far, and at Vale Park, we are no different. So, without further ado, here's the new year update.

2013 Review

The patient building at Vale Park started to bear fruit in 2013, as Dynamo Groby made a massive investment into their training facilities to further their progress in the leagues. Furthermore, the young Finnish talent scouted out and discovered by the club started to mature into a squad capable of going well in league and cup competition. Yrjo Paakkonen set a new club appearance record, one which homegrown goalkeeper Taavvi Litmanen is chasing down as the Groby keeper sets his eyes on achieving legendary status at the club. Litmanen has exceeded all expectation from the start of his career, represented in the Finland International side at all levels, the first Dynamo Groby player ever to do so.
The club itself has also achieved, winning the first ever playing of the ONT Cup competition, and putting in superb displays to finish well in further editions of the same cup. Dynamo have also gone higher in the league than ever before, proving that this long term Finnish project can work for the club.

2014 Goals

As a club, we are aware that we must undergo periods of transition, and perhaps lesser successes than the glory times, in order to grow and go further in the future. We also know that we must work hard to continue the hard work that we've been doing in order to keep the level of success we have become used to sustainable. Behind the scenes, the club finances are in terrific shape, as a glance at the accounts records show, season after season in profit, allowing us to work on improving the facilities and structure of the club, whilst still scouting out good young talents to develop into first team players. We aim to continue improving the structure of the club, and hope to achieve our aim of upgrading the training facilities again in the new year. On the pitch, we will aim to continue our stay in the higher divisions, whilst integrating the young players into the side as they develop, and continue to keep the team bubbling along nicely.

Managers View

We know the fans and followers of the club will want us to keep winning games, and going far in the league and cup, but we have to maintain our progress off the field too, in order to develop our club into a position to start challenging even higher up the rankings. We will continue to maintain our Finnish project, as it has done the team no harm at all, and in fact, has benefitted the club greatly off the field as we are more stable and well run than ever before. The long term aim will have to be the priority, as whilst the club has funds to go out and improve the side, perhaps with the intention of reaching the top leagues, it would be impossible for the club to sustain any success that results from taking that option. We all fully believe in the way the club is run, and expect nothing to drastically change in the near future.

Open Interview With The Manager

Dynamo Groby are holding another chance for followers of the club to question the manager, on all things football related or otherwise. The previous one was reasonably successful, as shown in the related press release. (Link Below.) Therefore, any questions can be mailed to the manager, or posted below this release, and they may we will aim to answer as many as we can in a future press release.
