Dismay for the supporters of Dynamo Groby this season, as the club are relegated from Division 3 after a period of being a stable club at that level. The Vale Park side finished just a place from safety, but even a draw against a side to be promoted in the run in wasn't enough to keep the Finns up.
Some supporters groups are calling on the management team to release funds and invest in some new signings to ensure the club bounce back at the first time of asking. However, Dynamo have issued a statement thanking them for their support, but outlining and reaffirming the long term aims of the club, of patient and sustainable building.
"We are as disappointed as anyone to find ourselves competing at a lower level next season. We had hoped to do enough to stay in Division 3, but unfortunately, we weren't good enough over the league season to obtain that. We have some younger inexperienced members in the side currently, and perhaps that has shown over the course of this season, but we fully expect our players to how character and resilience and rebound from this disappointment strongly."
