Our season has had a slump since the last press release, unfortunately a long string of inconsistent performances has left us with many draws and losses and because of this we are 10 points adrift of second, out of contention for promotion. But we don't care we have had a great start in Greece and currently lie 3rd on goal difference. It is a tight race but we are +25 in goal difference and fourth is on +24 goal difference. Fifth is 2 points behind but with superior goal difference, so it will be a very tight finish. Our last match of the season will probably decide it, which is against fourth. If we lose we will probably finish fifth, if we win a third place finish looks likely and drawing could leave us in fourth or fifth, depending on the scoreline in the other two matches. Truly this is done to the wire for the third place trophy. We are hoping to take this, which is worth 20,000 extra compared to fourth and fifth. Our hopes though took a hit as our captain and star right back retired and has now been replaced by a new player, who is a bit worse. Third would be great and as our MR is retiring on monday we will need to splash out some cash to replace him.
