The Best ones

The end of the season has come

With 4th place losing to top, it became a two horse race between us and third place. With 1 match left we were 2 points up, but third place had a game in hand so we had to win to guarantee a top 2 finish. Things were looking good, after third place had a man sent off in the previous match, but only had 11 players in their total team, so there was no one to replace him in the next match. This meant we were a man up before the game had began. But it didn't start well and we went 1-0 down in 4 minutes, before equalising 10 minutes later. Things weren't looking good and a draw seemed destined after 80 minutes but then suddenly our star player, Dugy Macintosh scored what seemed to be the winner. Unfortunately a late equaliser, after some questionable substitutions in defence by me, meant that we were left with a draw and we were only 2 points up in second, but third had one more match. We got away with it this time and third place lost their last match 3-0, having been a man down from a few matches ago. This meant we were promoted to our first season to div 4, which will be our last in Greece because we will move to Scotland next season.

To add it has been a very good financial year, getting 310,000 from tickets and a big profit in buying and selling players. At the end of the season we will be left with a 400,000 credits profit as well as one more player on the transfer list for 425,000. This could mean we finish with an incredible 825,000 credits profit. This is our second best ever, with our best ever being when we sold our super youth for 1.8 million.
