as my first full year now draws to a close, the club has undergone a transformation. after starting and quitting in 2011 i came back in september 2012 to the club. It was called Furneux Pelham, focused on oldies, (special mention to Miniato Putignani played 737 games for us) before an unsuccessful project called British Irish Lions with a squad of players from England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland only, this didnt work so the new project Las Vegas named after a place i love, this was a project where i bought players with stats of around 300-350 at ages at around 17-19 to build a squad and the players, this started on 22-April 2013. the majority of these players are still here plus Ryan Abel and Guillermo Rivera who returned to the club when they left for the BI Lions project. we did buy some older players to boost the team. also i started to use VM premium which has worked very well and have created a few good youths, the best being Johnny Canada, unfortunately we didn't sign him when we had the chance but i am happy to see him with Talent Wonderkid status plus he was in the USA U17 squad. we have also bought i few upcoming youths to replace the current squad when they retire, they have made remarkable progress and are almost at the stage the current squad were when i signed them. apart from this is has been a quiet start to life as Las Vegas. we have moved aorund a little bit too. we started in England before spending 2 seasons in germany. we then moved to the usa where little progress (Div 7) prompted what was meant to be a single season in france we were put in Div 5 and won promotion that season so we decided to stay another season, we moved at the end of the season back to the usa which was a good thing as we would have been relegated in france. back in the usa we were put in Div 4 but finished bottom and are currently middish table in div 5. Looking ahead to 2014, it is invitable that the current squad will all retire at some point during the year and the development squad will take over with a number of new additions coming in. with this in mined i aim to cement a position in div 4 before this happens as we will quickly fall down the leagues when it does. i also hope to incraese stadium capacity and training ground during the year.
