After securing promotion All-Ireland narrowly missed out on the title by one point but promotion to Division 4 with a highest ever league finish gave the High Kings plenty to cheer there team Home.

For the club in there first Season since moving from remote Bantry Bay in to the centre of Ireland giant strides have been made in one season as they look ahead to Division 4.

Manager Kieran spoke to the Irish Times today "well its great to get promotion and 2 consecutive best placed finishes, but we must remember that these lower league are not what they once were and we were fortunate with the teams that dropped down last season".

"Although we invested a fair chunk of our money last season, we are expecting a very tough season this time around,
to be honest staying in Div 5 would of been a better place to build our foundations up"

But amongst all the playing down expectations it was noted that even if the club finish Bottom as the odds predict, the club will finish for a third season in a row in its best ever place with the quip "even finishing last would be a successful season"

In other matters as of yet the club have received no indication from VIFA in regards to there application for a youth team with many around the club more interested in the first team at present fans won't be losing any sleep.
