Reports have been flooding in over night about the possibility of City of Ely F.C expanding their stadium by a reported 3,600 seats which will see an investment of around £2.5 million put into the structure of the stadium.

The stadium, named as Ely Road, currently has a capacity of 5,400 seats and with the club now in division 4, the club's board feel it is time for an expansion to increase ticket sales and of course, income for the club.

The club refused to comment, but they have revealed they will be revealing a statement later on in the day.
