After two seasons without any danger of relegation, season 2019-45 turned out to be a nailbiter. Halfway through, Bryggen was in 13th place, but a good stretch of 20 points in the last 12 games secured Lokomotive Bryggen another season in the Bundesliga with a margin of goal difference.

The DFB-Pokal was another failure. Two away games and out. Bryggen now has 10 straight away games in that competition.
