I've noticed that my side has gone from Amateur to Semi-professional in the last couple of days. How does that work? What determines Amateur, Semi-pro and Pro teams?

It's based on average player wage.
Yeah. It's a little strange. My starter's salaries range from $1,300 to about $2,200. Yet, my team is noted as an amateur because I usually carry 28-30 players with about 1/2 of them being youths with low or no salaries.
Either way it doesn't matter. I just find it kind of comical. I have always wondered why it still said amateur.
