What about those who won it 9 times or more? No reason for asking... smiley

Really cool to look at all the stats, thanks for putting the time in!

This is cool mate, something like this would be great to have done automatically by the game for every top league

Haha - I did see you've won it 9 times (which makes me more confident he data is actually correct!) but had to draw the line somewhere. I'll try to collate a winners list with just international managers later.

It was actually quite fun collecting and sorting through the data. Now I've gathered the dataset (for Premier League at least) its now just a case sorting through and transposing the data from tables into meaningful stats (e.g. the aforementioned average points, record GD etc.)

I was thinking of making an 'all time' table showing the 16 clubs with most points in vman Premier League history (though guess this mostly comes down to clubs who have been around longer). If anyone has any ideas please let me know, I'm also happy to share the raw dataset (1.5MB csv file).

Yeah it would be nice - at the moment the closest we get is to automatically see the top 15 clubs for money and supporters but would be nice to see who's won each league/cup the most or each teams biggest transfers, record goal scorers etc.

The table below shows the all-time (2007-36 to 2025-25) average GD and Points to one decimal place for each position in the Premier League (England) on vman.

Position, GD, Points:
1st: +67.2, 76.3
2nd: +53.2, 69.8
3rd: +38.0, 63.3
4th: +25.5, 57.6
5th: +17.1, 52.7
6th: +9.8, 48.5
7th: +3.3, 44.8
8th: -1.2, 41.7
9th: -5.8, 38.8
10th: -10.3, 35.9
11th: -14.2, 33.2
12th: -19.2, 30.5
13th: -23.5, 27.4
14th: -31.0, 23.6
15th: -40.4, 18.9
16th: -68.6, 10.7
Following on from this, the below chart shows the points achieved by the Premier League winner (1st place) each season.

Two things stand out to me here:

1. The weird season where there was 17 clubs and the winner scored above the usual maximum of 90 points (2009-24).
2. The Premier League champions from the earlier seasons tended to dominate more (higher point average) until approx. 400 seasons in (around 2015)... I could have the dates wrong but perhaps this was when project rebalance/grandad changed the rating system to 0-99, whereas previously player ratings were not capped, allowing the top teams to dominate more?

Whilst still a useful indictor, this makes me think that neither my average points per position above or SoloBoloNgolos's are perfect. The average points I've posted is limited to the Premier League and includes many older, less relevant seasons while SoloBoloNgolo's is limited to Division 2 and with a much smaller dataset. Perhaps an average of the past year or two would be best (but again this may vary by country/division).

How did you get the dataset? Is there a way to download it or did you manually type in everything?

Apologies for the delayed response.

You could load each webpage and copy the data manually. However, to speed up the process I utilised automated web scraping.

Whilst typing an initial response to your question it prompted me to first check with the admins that this is allowed. They confirmed this is fine as long as there is not an unnecessary amount of requests in a very small amount of time.

I'm happy to share the dataset. So far I've collected data on just the Premier League and Superligaen. I will look to do the remaining 12 countries top division at a later date then stop.
